Principles: 6


I think Conley made a very great comment on how teachers should use diverse texts during instruction. The text should focus on a variety of reading levels and reading topics. I totally agree with this because in the USA more and more cultures are coming to this country for the opportunities that we as citizens have. In the classrooms when we read only from the "traditional" textbooks we are only being biased towards one culture. I think it is very important for the students to see how others live, think, and etc.
